Working principle of steam peeling
2024-08-01

Steam peeling is particularly suitable for peeling tuberous materials with uneven and irregular shapes, with the best peeling surface quality. After peeling, the material surface is smooth, and the peeling rate is high, with a small peeling loss rate, suitable for large-scale production, and other characteristics. From the perspective of the production line, steam peeling mainly includes the design of three stages: automatic weighing, steam peeling, and brush peeling. Here, we mainly introduce the design of the last two stages.

(1) Working principle of steam peeling

Its working principle is as follows: the material is weighed and quantitatively dropped into the pressure tank, the tank cover is closed, high-pressure steam is introduced into the tank, and the pressure tank rotates around the horizontal axis to make the material roll, so that the surfaces of the material can evenly contact the steam. After the skin is matured, the steam is instantly discharged to relieve pressure, causing the material skin to burst. The tank mouth is lowered and the tank cover is opened, and the material is poured into the discharge hopper. Then, the material is sent into the brush type cleaning machine by the elevator. The material with the burst skin is separated from the flesh by the friction of the brush, thus completing the peeling work.

(2) Design of steam skin equipment

The design of steam peeling equipment requires optimal peeling quality and minimal steam consumption to achieve the most effective peeling purpose.
